What does SpeVoc cost?
Offline dictation is free forever and works without an account. AI text improvement and online dictation are unlocked by a plan – starting with a free trial quota. You will find the current plans in our shop.
Does SpeVoc work offline?
Yes. In offline mode, speech recognition runs entirely on your PC with a local Whisper model – no cloud, no account, unlimited. AI text improvement and the faster online dictation need an internet connection.
Which programs does SpeVoc work in?
In any Windows program you can type in: Word, Outlook, your browser, a chat window or a ticket system. SpeVoc sits in the system tray and works at the press of a key, right where your cursor is.
How do I improve a text with SpeVoc?
Select the text and press the dictation key together with Ctrl: a window opens with style selection and preview. Press Ctrl and Shift together and SpeVoc replaces the selection directly in your document, without any window. Don't like the result? Ctrl+Z undoes it.
Which styles are available?
Casual, Standard, Fluent, Business, Academic and more – all the way to fun styles like Pirate. The style decides how far SpeVoc rewrites; what your text says stays intact.
Do I need an account?
Not for the download and offline dictation – no registration, no credit card. Only for AI text improvement and online dictation do you create a free account, which comes with a 10-minute trial quota.
What are the system requirements?
Windows 10 or Windows 11. Because SpeVoc does not yet carry a purchased publisher signature, Windows speaks up twice the first time: first your browser while downloading, then Windows itself when starting the file. Both mean "unknown", not "dangerous". Important for the second message: at first it only offers "Don't run" – click "More info" and "Run anyway" appears. Our download page walks you through both messages and stays open while it does.
What happens to my recordings?
In offline mode no recording ever leaves your PC – speech recognition runs entirely locally. In online mode the recording or the selected text is sent to a cloud service for processing. If you would rather avoid that, use SpeVoc in offline mode, free forever.
